Samm joins us from Massachusetts where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Though from a construction family background, their interest in design was first piqued within a museum. Through the use of displays and lighting, guests were moved through gallery narratives and Samm's love of design was born.

While at Wentworth, Samm honed their skill set with design software while exploring the definition of accessibility, leading to a thesis project within the education sector. Samm expanded the definition of accessibility in the creation of a public high school focusing on an after-pandemic education model focused on supporting multiple modes of learning while showcasing students' interests and personalities.

Prior to joining Hartranft, they worked as a design intern at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston creating photorealistic renderings to aid in the creation of a variety of galleries, from ancient Greece to Basquiat's graffiti work, as well as to improve guest movement and content pacing.

At HLD, Samm applies her knowledge of lighting design and calculation proficiency in AGi32, as well as skills in Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit, to aid in the design process.
