Immersed in art and design from an early age, Sarah always knew she wanted to pursue a creative career. She discovered her passion for architectural lighting design at California State University, Long Beach while obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Design with an emphasis in Interior Design. She was especially drawn to how significantly light can influence a design, its environment, its ambience, and its occupants. The field also gave her a certain fulfillment by utilizing both her creative and technical skills together.

After graduating, she joined a southern California based architectural lighting design studio and a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) firm. She spent five and a half years there developing her technical expertise and specialized in creating schematic design packages, along with conceptual, illustrative and photo-realistic renderings. She's worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from: site, senior and multi-family residential housing development, corporate facilities, interior and exterior tenant improvements, hospitality, exterior building facade, retail, institutional, healthcare, and sustainable facilities.

In 2017, looking for a new adventure and a new place to call home, Sarah moved to Charlotte, NC. There she joined the Hartranft Lighting Design team and continues to expand the variety of her project portfolio.

Since moving, she's not only discovered a love for Carolina-style barbeque, but exploring new local eateries that Charlotte has to offer. In her spare time, Sarah thoroughly enjoys reading, tea, classic movies, video games, and baking.
